தமிழகத்து ஜிஹாதி தீவிரவாதி பிரான்ஸில் பிடிபட்டான்: உள்ளூரில் வளரும் தீவிரவாதத்தின் அபாயம் அதிகரித்து வருகிறது!
உள்ளூர் தீவிரவாதமா அல்லது வீட்டுத் தீவிரவாதமா? தமிழகத்தில் தீவிரவாதிகளுக்கு அமைதியாக தங்க இடம் கிடைக்கிறது என்று மறுபடியும் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. ஆனால், சிதம்பரம், உள்ளூரில் வளரும் தீவிரவாதத்தின் அபாயம் அதிகரித்து வருகிறது என்கிறார்! [Threat of home-grown terror rising: Chidambaram]. அதாவது, இதை உள்ளூர் தீவிரவாதம் என்பதா அல்லது வீட்டுத் தீவிரவாதம் / வீட்டிலே வளர்த்த தீவிரவாதம்[1] என்பதா என்று தெரியவில்லை.
தமிழகத்து ஜிஹாதி தீவிரவாதி: முகமது நியாஸ் அப்துல் ரஷீத் – திருச்சியைச் சேர்ந்த இவன், தன்னுடைய 21வது வயதில் சிமியில் சேர்ந்துள்ளான். கணினி மென்துறையில் வல்லுனரான, நியாஸ் மற்றவர்களின் இணைதளங்களில் நுழைவதிலும், கைத்தேந்தவனாம். எப்படிப்பட்ட இணைதளத்தையும் உடைத்துவிடும் ஆற்றல் பெற்றவனாம். அதுமட்டுமல்லாது, வெடிகுண்டுகள் போன்றவை தயரிக்க, செயல்பட பல கணினி புரோக்ராம்களை தயாரித்துள்ளானாம்[2]. தந்தை மலேசிய நாட்டு பிரஜையாக உள்ளார். சகோதர்கள் கடாரில் வசிக்கின்றனர். தாயார் பாத்திமா (65), புதியதாகக் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ள, கூத்தப்பன்பட்டி என்ற இடத்தில் மேலூரில் தனியாக வசித்து வருகிறார்[3]. ஆறு மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு அவன் இங்கு வந்தாதாகவும், தாயுடன் இரண்டு வாரம் தங்கியிருந்து, சென்றுவிட்டதாக அருகிலுள்ளோர் கூறுகின்றனர். தமிழகத்திலிருந்து, அவன் இரண்டு பாஸ்போர்ட்டுகளைப் பெற்ருள்ளதாகத் தெரிகிறது. ஒன்று திருச்சி சரகத்திலிருந்து, இன்னொன்று, இடம் தெரியாதலால், அது போலியாக இருக்கும் என்று தெரிகிறது[4].
தமிழக போலீஸார் தூங்கினார்களா? தமிழக போலீஸார், வழக்கம் போல கோட்டை விட்டதுடன், அவனைப் பற்றி விரோதமான அறிக்கைகள் / தகவல்கள் எதுவும் இல்லை என்று கூறியுள்ளாரர்களாம்[5]. வழக்கம் போல, உள்துறை அமைச்சர், நாளுக்கு நாள் உள்ளூரில் வளரும் தீவிரவாதம் பெருகிவருகிறது என்று சொல்லியுள்ளார்[6]. வழக்கம் போல தி ஹிந்துவின் செய்தி வெளியீடே அலாதியானது தான். முதலில் “பாரிஸில் கைது செய்யப் பட்ட மனிதன் மதுரையைச் சேர்ந்தவனா?” என்று செய்தி வெளியிட்டது[7]. பிறகு வரும் செய்தியில், ரஷிதைப் பற்றி இந்தியா பிரான்சிடம் விவரங்களைக் கேட்கிறது, என்று செய்தி வருகிறது[8]. உண்மையில், பிரான்ஸ் இந்தியாவிடமிருந்து, அவனைப் பற்றி விவரங்களைக் கேட்டுள்ளது. இவன் தனது தாயாரது தொலைபேசியை உபயோகித்து, பாகிஸ்தானிலுள்ள தனது தொடர்பாளிகளுடன் பேசியுள்ளான். பிரான்ஸ் இதைப் பற்றி விவரங்களைக் கொடுத்துள்ளது. ஆனால், அவரது தாயார் அதை மறுப்பது போன்று தமிழில் சொல்வதை தொலைகாட்சிகளில் காட்டப்படுகிறது.
அல்ஜீரியாவிலிருந்து பிரான்சுக்கு திரும்பி வந்த முகமது நியாஸ் அப்துல் ரஷீத் கைது: பிரான்ஸில் தீவிரவாத செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்ட மதுரை மேலுரைச் சேர்ந்த வாலிபர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார்[9]. பிரான்ஸில் தீவிரவாதப் பயிற்சி மேற்கொண்டதாக கடந்த மே 10ம் தேதி 6 பேரை [Charles de Gaulle Airport ] அந்நாட்டு போலீஸார் கைது செய்தனர். இதில் தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த முகமது நியாஸ் அப்துல் ரஷீத் என்பவரும் அடக்கம். அல்ஜீரியாவிலிருந்து திரும்பி பிரான்சுக்கு வந்த நிலையில் சார்லஸ் டி கால் விமானநிலையத்தில் அவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டார்[10]. பிரான்ஸைச் சேர்ந்த மூவரை பாகிஸ்தானின் தீவிரவாத முகாம்களுக்கு இவர் அனுப்பி வைத்ததாக புகார் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. ரஷீத் குறித்து பிரான்ஸ் போலீசார் மத்திய அரசுக்குத் தகவல் அனுப்பியதைத் தொடர்ந்து அவர் குறித்து மத்திய உளவுப் பிரிவினரும் தமிழக உளவுப் பிரிவினரும் விசாரணையில் இறங்கியுள்ளனர். தாஹிர் ஷைஜாத் கைது செய்யப் பட்டவுடன், உமர் படேக் என்ற தீவிரவாதியுடனான அவனது தொடர்பு தெரியவந்துள்ளது. பாலி வெடிகுண்டு வழக்கில் சம்பந்தப் பட்டுள்ள அவன், அபோதாபாதில் கடந்த ஜனவரி மாதம் பிடித்து கைது செய்துள்ளனர்[11].
இவர் மதுரை மேலூரைச் சேர்ந்தவர் என்றும், தனியார் பொறியியல் படித்தபோது சிமி இயக்கத்துடன் அவருக்கு தொடர்பு ஏற்பட்டதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது. சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு பெங்களூரில் சுட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்ட, தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த தீவிரவாதியின் கூட்டாளிகளுடன் இவர் நெருக்கமாக இருந்தது தெரியவந்தபோதே இவரை மத்திய உளவுப் பிரிவான ஐ.பி. கண்காணிக்க ஆரம்பித்ததாகவும், 3 மாதங்களுக்கு முன் இவர் பிரான்சிலிருந்து மேலூர் வந்து 10 நாட்கள் தங்கியிருந்தபோதும் கண்காணிப்பிலேயே இருந்தார் என்றும், அந்த நேரத்தில் இவரது நடவடிக்கைகளில் தீவிரவாத செயல்கள் ஏதும் இல்லாததால் இவரை அப்போது ஐ.பி. கைது செய்யாமல் விட்டதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது.
இந்தியாவிற்குத் தெரியாதது, எப்படி பிரான்ஸிற்கு தெரிந்துள்ளது? ஆனால், பிரான்சில் இவர் எந்த மாதிரியான செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டார் என்ற விவரம் ஐ.பியிடம் இல்லை. இப்போது பிரான்ஸ் போலீசார் தந்துள்ள தகவல்களின்படி இவரது பின்னணியை ஐ.பியும் மாநில உளவுப் பிரிவினரும் மீண்டும் தோண்ட ஆரம்பித்துள்ளனர். இவர் மீது தமிழகத்தில் எந்த வழக்குகளும் இல்லை என்று போலீசார் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். ஆனால், மெக்கனிக்கல் என்ஜினியரான இவர் அல்-கொய்தா அமைப்புடன் நெருக்கமான தொடர்பில் இருந்ததாகவும், பாகிஸ்தானில், குறிப்பாக பின்லேடன் கொல்லப்பட்ட அபோடாபாத் நகரில் தீவிரவாத அமைப்பினருடன் இவர் தொடர்பு கொண்டிருந்ததாகவும் பிரான்ஸ் போலீசார் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். மேலும் பிரான்ஸ் வாலிபர்கள் மூவரை தீவிரவாத பயிற்சிக்காக இவர் பாகிஸ்தானுக்கு அனுப்பியதாகவும் புகார் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது[12].
போலீஸார் திரட்டி வருகின்றனர்: இவர் குறித்து முழுமையாக விசாரித்து தகவல் தருமாறு பிரான்ஸ் கோரியுள்ளது. இதையடுத்து ரஷீத்தின் குடும்பத்தைப் பற்றிய முழுமையான தகவல்களைப் போலீஸார் திரட்டி வருகின்றனர். ரஷீத் குடும்பத்தினர் கடைசியாக திருச்சியில் தங்கியிருந்ததும், அவர் தனது பாஸ்போர்ட்டை திருச்சி பாஸ்போர்ட் அலுவலகத்தில் தான் பெற்றார் என்றும் தெரியவந்துள்ளது. ஆனால் அவரிடம் போலி பாஸ்போர்ட் ஒன்றும் இருக்கலாம் என்றும் தெரிகிறது. பாகிஸ்தானின் கராச்சி நகருக்கு பலமுறை சென்று வந்துள்ள ரஷீத்துக்கு, ஷியா எதிர்ப்பு இயக்கமான ஜுன்துல்லா (Jundullah) என்ற அமைப்பின் மூலமாக அல்-கொய்தா இயக்கத்தினருடன் தொடர்பு ஏற்பட்டதாக பிரான்ஸ் உளவுப் பிரிவினர் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
முகமது நியாஸ் அப்துல் ரஷீத் பற்றி உள்துறை அமைச்சர் கூறியுள்ளது[13]: தீவிரவாத செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டதாக பிரான்சில் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட மதுரை வாலிபர் – ரஷீத் ஆப்கானிஸ்தானில் ஜிகாத் பயிற்சிக்காக மொராக்கோ, பாகிஸ்தான், துருக்கி வம்சாவளியைச் சேர்ந்த 3 பிரான்ஸ் வாலிபர்களை அனுப்பி வைத்துள்ளார் என்று மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சர் ப.சிதம்பரம் கூறினார். டெல்லியில் நிருபர்களிடம் அவர் பேசுகையில், சிமி இயக்கத்துடன் தொடர்புள்ள இவர் வேலைக்காக 2008-ம் ஆண்டில் பிரான்ஸ் சென்ற அவர்[14], பிரான்ஸ் சென்று, அங்கு தீவிரவாத கொள்கை கொண்டவர்களுடன் நெருக்கமாகி அவர்களுக்கு உதவியுள்ளார். ஆப்கானிஸ்தானில் ஜிகாத்[15] பயிற்சிக்காக மொராக்கோ, பாகிஸ்தான், துருக்கி வம்சாவளியைச் சேர்ந்த 3 பிரான்ஸ் வாலிபர்களை அனுப்பி வைத்துள்ளார். இவரது வலையில் இந்தியர்கள் யாரும் சிக்கவில்லை. முதலில் இவரது குழு மாதம் ஒரு முறை சந்தித்து வந்துள்ளது. பின்னர் அடிக்கடி சந்தித்து தீவிரவாத பயிற்சி-தாக்குதல்கள் குறித்து பேச ஆரம்பித்துள்ளனர். ஆப்கானிஸ்தான்-பாகிஸ்தான் தீவிரவாத குழுக்களிடம் பயிற்சி பெற ஆட்களை அனுப்பியதாக பிரான்ஸ் போலீசாரிடம் ரஷீத் ஒப்புக் கொண்டுள்ளதாகவும் தகவல்கள் வருகின்றன. இந்த விஷயத்தில் பிரான்ஸ் முழுமையாக விசாரித்து முடிக்கும் வரை ரஷீதுக்கு இந்தியத் தூதரக உதவிகள் ஏதும் வழங்கப்படாது. விசாரணையின் முடிவைப் பொறுத்தே மத்திய அரசின் செயல்பாடு இருக்கும். ரஷீத் விஷயத்தில் பிரான்சும் இந்தியாவும் தொடர்ந்து தகவல்களை பகிர்ந்து வருகின்றன. தனது 21 வயதிலிருந்தே தீவிரவாத எண்ணங்களில் மூழ்கியுள்ளார் ரஷீத் என்பது உளவுத் துறையினர் விசாரணையில் தெரியவந்துள்ளது என்றார் சிதம்பரம்.

தீவிரவாதிகளுக்கு ஆள் சேர்த்து அனுப்பியதாக சந்தேகத்தின் பேரில் பிரான்ஸில் கைதாகியுள்ள, மதுரை மேலுரைச் சேர்ந்த பொறியாளர் முகமது நியாஸ், எவ்விதமான குற்றச் செயலிலும் ஈடுபட்டது இல்லை என்று அவரது தாயார் பாத்திமா தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
தீவிரவாதிகளுக்கு ஆள் சேர்த்து அனுப்பியதாகவும், சிமி இயக்கத்துடன் தொடர்புடையதாகவும் சந்தேகத்தின் பேரில், மதுரை மேலுரைச் சேர்ந்த பொறியாளர் முகமது நியாஸ், பிரான்ஸ் விமான நிலையத்தில் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். பிரான்ஸ் காவல்துறையினர் கொடுத்த தகவலின் பேரில், மத்திய தீவிரவாதத் தடுப்புப் பிரிவு காவல்துறையினர் புலன் விசாரணை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளனர்.
இந்நிலையில், மதுரை மாவட்டம், மேலூர் சந்தைப்பேட்டை தெருவில் வசித்துவரும் முகமது நியாஸின் தாயார் பாத்திமா, நேற்று புதன்கிழமை செய்தியாளர்களிடம் கூறியதாவது:

நியாஸ், மதுரை மேலப்பொன்னகரத்தில் உள்ள பள்ளியில் பிளஸ் 2 படித்தார். பின்னர் கீழக்கரை பாலிடெக்னிக்கில் படித்தார். திருச்சி பொறியியல் கல்லூரியில் மெக்கானிக்கல் பொறியாளர் பட்டம் பெற்றார். பின்னர் பிரான்ஸ் நாட்டுக்குச் சென்றுவிட்டார்.
அவருக்கும் தீவிரவாத இயக்கத்துக்கும் தொடர்பு உள்ளதாகக் கூறப்படுவது சரியல்ல. அவருக்கு தீவிரவாத இயக்கத்துடன் தொடர்பு இருப்பது தெரியவந்திருந்தால் நாங்களே காவல்துறையிடம் ஒப்படைத்து இருப்போம். எவ்விதமான குற்றச் செயலிலும் என் மகன் ஈடுபட்டது இல்லை.
ஏற்கெனவே, மத்திய புலனாய்வுப் பிரிவு காவல்துறையினர் கடந்த ஜனவரி மாதம் எங்களிடம் விசாரித்தனர். குடும்ப அட்டை, பாஸ்போர்ட்டையும் ஆய்வு செய்தனர். அவருக்கு தீவிரவாதிகளுடன் தொடர்பு இருப்பதாகத் தெரிந்திருந்தால் அப்போது வெளிநாடு செல்ல அனுமதி கிடைத்திருக்குமா?
புலனாய்வுப் பிரிவு காவல்துறையினர் விசாரித்தபோது, என் மகன் இங்குதான் தங்கியிருந்தார். அப்போது, இன்டர்நெட் மூலம் ஹபீப்புன்னிஸா என்ற பெண்ணை பார்த்ததாகவும் அவரைத் திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ள விரும்புவதாகவும் கூறினார். ஆனால், நாங்கள் மறுத்துவிட்டோம்.

Abdul Rasheed not a terrorist, says mother

MADURAI: Fathima Begum, mother of Mohammad Niaz Abdul Rasheed, arrested in France a fortnight ago for allegedly recruiting people for a terrorist outfit, on Wednesday claimed that her son was innocent and did not have links with any terrorist organisation, including the banned SIMI.
“As a mother, I know Niaz very well and he is not the kind who could have become a terrorist,” Fathima told reporters here on Wednesday.She said her son had visited the family’s house in Melur in January when he was reportedly under surveillance. She questioned why he had not been arrested for his alleged terrorist links then.
Fathima revealed that officials from the immigration department had recently scrutinised Rasheed’s passport at the house. But, she added, they left without a word.
Rasheed had used this passport, obtained from the Tiruchy passport office, in 2005 to go to Saudi Arabia, before leaving for France for a job. Fathima said her son had stayed with the family in Karimedu till 2005. The family later moved to Melur, about 30 km from here.
“He was educated at a reputed school here and did a polytechnic course at the Mohammed Sathak Insitute in Ramanathapuram district, before joining the MIET and completing another course in Tiruchy.”
Fathima said her son had met a girl via a social networking website and married her despite his family’s objections. Rasheed reportedly reduced his communication with the family before heading for France due to these differences. However, he later got in touch with his family. On his alleged ties with terrorist outfits, Fathima maintained that she did not know who his friends were in France. “Only the media is projecting him as a terrorist,” she complained.
The police had on Tuesday said Rasheed had obtained two passports from Tamil Nadu,one from Tiruchy, but were not sure from where he got the other one, apparently a fake.
They added that the terror accused had visited Melur three months ago and had stayed there for about 14 days while intelligence officials were tracking him. They said he was a member of the Jhunjhunwala militant outfit, based in Pakistan. Investigations were on to ascertain how he got in touch with them.
Officials said they were verifying bank records here to ascertain if money had been transferred to anyone from Paris, where he had been living for long.
Union Home Minister P Chidambaram had on Monday said Rasheed was held on May 10 by the French police, along with six other suspected Islamic militants.

MELUR: The mother of an Indian detained in France for suspected Al Qaida links told TOI on Wednesday that she was certain “he is innocent”. Fathima Begum, mother of Mohammed Niaz, who was picked up by French police for questioning two weeks ago, lives alone in the town of Melur, 30 kms from Madurai.
The tearful, 53-year-old woman owns a bungalow in a predominantly Muslim colony. Fathima’s husband, Abdul Rasheed, worked for a textile firm in Madurai for 22 years before taking voluntary retirement and moving to the UAE on a new assignment. Niaz who had a middle-class, mofussil upbringing, is well educated. The only hint of any aggression in his character was his insistence that his two sisters wear a burqa whenever they left the house, said his mother.
Niaz was born in October 1978, the eldest of three children. His mother described him as “a studious boy” who completed his schooling in Madurai before enrolling in a technical course at a polytechnic institute in Ramanathapuram. “My son had no bad habits, he doesn’t smoke and has a lot of faith in Islam. I do not believe the reports about him. The only mistake he made was not to heed my words and marry a foreigner. He has now been orphaned in a foreign country,” she said, dismissing allegations that he may have recruited volunteers in France for a jehadi outfit.
On Wednesday morning after news spread that Niaz’s family lived in this nondescript suburban colony near Madurai, Fathima shut her doors to everyone, barring a few journalists and officials. The men from “P Chidambaram’s ministry” met Fathima and quizzed her for nearly 30 minutes. “I begged them to bring my son back. If he has made any mistakes, he should be pardoned and brought back to his country,” Fathima told TOI later.
Niaz’s French wife Habibuneesa is in touch with the family, keeping them abreast of developments in Paris. “We got news about his midnight arrest on May 10 from a relative. We were shocked. Authorities there came to his house and took him away,” said Fathima.
According to her, the French police took Niaz away only for questioning and no arrest was made at the airport as reported in the media. “He had been taken away with dignity and was allowed to take many of his belongings, including his laptop and mobile phone with him. They had asked my daughter-in-law to pay 250 Euros for his stay during questioning,” said Fathima. “He went to Algeria for a project work and newspapers say he went there for terrorist training. How can they say such blatant lies? The firm he was working for can track his movements,” she said.
Proud of her son, she said he was very “bright and clever”. But relations between them were strained after Niaz married Habibuneesa, whose mother was a French national and father a Puducherry resident. “I told him I can never accept a foreigner in my house,” said Fathima. But the family came to a reconciliation after Niaz and his wife spent about two weeks with his mother in her new house in January this year. It was the house he had helped construct by sending her funds.
Niaz had graduated in mechanical engineering from MIET-Tiruchi after the polytechnic course and left for the Gulf to work for a software firm, before he returned to India to marry his French girlfriend and live near Paris. According to her, Niaz had been working for a firm in France for two years. “Would the French have given him a job if he was a terrorist?” she asked.
Tamil Nadu police continue to insist that they have neither received alerts nor information from the Centre on the case. “There is no case against Niaz in Tamil Nadu nor is he linked to any SIMI activities here. We are not aware if he was linked to any extremist groups outside Tamil Nadu,” said police sources.
Fathima is slowly growing weary of answering reporters who continue to throng her house. “Look at it from my point of view, as a mother. If my son was a terrorist, I myself would turn him over to the police.”
