ஜெட் ஏர்வேஸ் விமானத்தை மோதிய பறவையும், ஏர் இந்தியா விமானத்தை மோதிய டிராக்டரும்!

 சென்னையிலிருந்து தமாம் சென்ற விமானத்தில் பறவை மோதியது: 156 பயணிகள் உயிர் தப்பினர் (மாலைமலர்[1]): சென்னையில் இருந்து திருவனந்தபுரம் வழியாக சவுதி அரேபியாவில் உள்ள தமாமுக்கு ஜெட் ஏர்வேஸ் விமான போக்குவரத்து நடந்து வருகிறது. நேற்று பகல் இந்த விமானம் சென்னையில் இருந்து 156 பயணிகளுடன் தமாம் புறப்பட்டது. சென்னை விமான நிலையத்தில் இருந்து புறப்பட்ட சிறிது நேரத்திலேயே அந்த விமானத்தில் பறவை ஒன்று மோதியது. அதை உணர்ந்த விமான பைலட் அந்த விமானத்தை திருவனந்தபுரம் விமான நிலையத்தில் பத்திரமாக தரை இறக்கினார். அதன் பிறகு அந்த விமானத்தை சோதனை செய்து பார்த்தனர். அப்போது பறவை மோதியதால் என்ஜினில் சிறிய கோளாறு ஏற்பட்டு இருப்பது தெரிய வந்தது. அந்த பழுதை சரிசெய்யும் பணி நடைபெற்றது. அந்த விமானத்தில் இருந்த 156 பயணிகளும் ஓட்டல்களில் தங்க வைக்கப்பட்டனர். அவர்கள் மாற்று விமானம் மூலம் திருவனந்தபுரத்தில் இருந்து தமாம் செல்ல ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

AI flight cancelled after being hit by vehicle[3] CHENNAI, OCT 8, 2012: A Jeddah-bound Air India flight carrying over 400 passengers was cancelled after it suffered damage when a vehicle hit it. The incident occurred this morning when a tractor carrying passengers’ luggage hit the aeroplane on its side, following which the flight was cancelled, airport sources said. The passengers, most of them Haj pilgrims, would be flown to their onward destination in a separate flight later in the day, they added.
Mishap grounds Air India aircraft[4]: Air India’s Jeddah-bound Boeing 747 aircraft was grounded at the Chennai airport on Monday (08-10-2012). This was after the tow-bar of a trolley pierced the outer cowling of the engine[5], while the aircraft was being towed from a remote parking bay. Airport Director H.S. Suresh said that around 8 a.m., the aircraft was towed from the parking bay 30 to the contact bay. The tow tractor driver dragging the aircraft had failed to notice the trolley tow-bar kept in a 90 degree elevation near bay 31. The tow-bar hit the outer cowling of the first engine located on the left side of the aircraft and pierced it. A senior Airports Authority of India (AAI) official said trolleys, belonging to a private ground handling agency, were not supposed to be left near the bay 31. Whenever trolleys were detached from a tractor, the drivers used to put the tow bar on the ground. But, in this case the driver casually left the tow bar in a standing position, resulting in the accident. The trolleys were brought to attend to a Sri Lankan airways flight expected sometime later in the morning.LACK OF DISCIPLINE: It is the lack of discipline among ground handling agencies and failure on the part of AAI to strictly monitor the movement of trolleys and other vehicles in the operational area that leads to accidents of this kind, according to the official. The presence of too many ground handling agencies at the airport is also cited as reason for accidents resulting in serious damage to aircraft.

FOURTH SUCH INCIDENT: This is the fourth incident in the last three months in the airport in which the aircraft has been seriously damaged, the official pointed out. Four hundred passengers were set to fly in the grounded Air India flight, exclusively meant for the Haj pilgrimage. When contacted, Air India officials said a preliminary enquiry has been ordered into the accident. The Director General of Civil Aviation will conduct a separate enquiry into the accident, airport sources said. The national carrier had brought in another Boeing 747 aircraft from Mumbai to take the stranded passengers to Jeddah, the Air India sources added. D. Sudhakara Reddy, National President, Air Passengers Association of India, said he received calls from some of the passengers of this flight.   He expressed shock that an important part of the aircraft engine was damaged due to the negligence on the part of the technical team towing the aircraft .

போதை மருந்து கடத்தல், சம்பந்தப் பட்டவர்களின் அடையாளங்களை ஊடகங்கள் மறைத்தல், பின்னணி என்ன?

போதை மருந்து கடத்தல்: இலங்கை போதை மருந்து கடத்தலுக்குப் பெயர் போனது. பெரும்பாலன கடத்தல்காரர்கள் சென்னை விமானநிலையத்தில் பிடிபடுகின்றவர்களில், இலங்கையைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் அதிகமாக இருக்கின்றனர். .எல்.டி.டி.ஈயின் வீழ்ச்சிற்குப் பிறகு, மற்ற குழுமங்கள், இதில் ஆதிக்கத்தைச் செல்லுத்த ஆரம்பித்துள்ளன என்று ஏற்கெனவே சுட்டிக் கட்டப்பட்டது.[1]கேடமைன் போதை மருந்து கடத்தலுக்குக் குறிப்பாக “சென்னை–இந்தோனிசியா-மலேசியா-சிங்கப்பூர் பாதைகள்” உபயோகப்படுத்தப் படுகின்றன[2]. ஜிஹாதிகள் போதை மருந்து கடத்த்லில் ஈடுபடுவதும் எடுத்துக் காட்டப்பட்டது[3]. இந்நிலையில் நவம்பர் மாதத்தில் வந்த அத்தகைய செய்தியில், ஒரு முஸ்லீம் மதகுரு ஈடுபட்டுள்ளார் என்ற செய்தி இந்திய பத்திரிக்கைகள் குறிப்பாக எடுத்துக் காட்டவில்லை.

“தி ஹிந்து” வழக்கமாக, வெளியிட்ட செய்தி”: ஜெட் ஏர்வேஸுக்கும், போதை மருந்து கடத்தலுக்கும் தொடர்பு உள்ளது என்று அமலாக்கப் பிரிவினருக்கு ஏற்கெனவே விவரங்கள் வந்துள்ளன. அதற்கேற்றார்போல, அந்த முறிப்பிட்ட விமானங்கள் மூலம் தான், போதை மருந்து எடித்துச் செல்லப்படுவதும், கண்டுபிடிக்கப்படுவதும், கைது செய்யப் படுவதும் வழக்கமாகி வர்ந்துள்ளது. அந்நிலையில்,

DRI seizes over 6 kg of ephedrine at airport[4]

In an incident of security breach Balakumar, a coach driver for Jet airways managed to smuggle in six and half kilograms of ephedrine, a narcotic drug, into the operational area at the Chennai airport to hand it over to three persons leaving for Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

However, officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), following a tip-off, seized the drug and arrested the coach driver and five others involved in the smuggling.

Giving details about the incident C. Rajan, Additional Director General, DRI, Chennai, said Jakir Hussain (41) of Triplicane and Manikandan (25) of Pallavaram brought the drug packed in polythene bags to the airport. They paid Rs.8,000 to Balakumar, the coach driver, who assured them that it would be handed over to three passengers who were on their way to Kuala Lumpur.

Mr. Rajan said in order to avoid any security check Balakumar brought a tractor from the operational area to the city side of the airport around 7.30 p.m. to collect the drug. Then he put the packets containing the drug inside the coach. He then continued with his routine work of operating the coach to transport the passengers from the terminal building to the aircraft till 11 p.m.

Three passengers, Mahmood Buhary Abdul Cadir (70), a Sri Lankan national, Gulam Abdul Rahman Khadriya (46), a woman from Kodambakkam and Mohammed Yusuf Mohammed Mursook (39) of S.V. Pattinam in Ramanathapuram district, boarded the coach, operated by Balakumar and they were informed about the place inside the coach where the packets containing the drug is kept. When they were about to take the drug and put it in the scanned baggage, the DRI officials arrested them.

The value of the seized drug is Rs.1.5 crore.

A senior Airports Authority of India (AAI) officer said in order to avoid such problems, the AAI had already formulated a new ground handling policy.

However, a case in this regard is pending in the Supreme Court. He said the airlines in order to cut costs appoint substandard contractors to carry out their ground handling works and the airport operator (AAI) has no control over the employees of these unauthorised ground handling agencies.

Another officer said even some of the international airlines, under the pretext of doing their own ground handling work, have given it to unauthorised agencies, which creates problems at the airport, he added.

A release from the Jet airways said they have a strict employee code of conduct. As regards this incident no Jet Airways employee is involved and the driver is on a contract.

Necessary action will be taken and the Jet Airways team will do all possible to assist the authorities concerned, it added.

எபிடிரின் என்ற போதை மருந்து சென்னை வழியாக கடத்தப் படுவதைப் பற்றிய விவரம் அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைத்தது. திருவல்லிக்கேணியைச் சேர்ந்த ஜாகிர் ஹுஸைன் மற்றும் பல்லாவரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த மணிகண்டன் பாலிதீன் மூட்டைகளை எடுத்துவந்தனர். அவற்றை கோலாலம்பூருக்குச் செல்லும் குறிப்பிட்ட பயணிகளிடம் சேர்த்தால், பணம் கிடைக்கும் என்று பாலகுமார் என்ற டிரைவருக்கு ரூ.8,000/- கொடுக்கப்பட்டதாம். அதன்படி, சந்தேகம் ஏற்படக்கூடாது என்று விமான நிலையத்தில் உள்ள இரு டிராக்டரை உபயோகித்து, அம்மூட்டைகளை மறைத்து வைத்தானாம். அப்பொழுது, முஹம்மது புஹாரி அப்துல் காதர் (70), ஸ்ரீலங்காவின் பிரஜை, குலாம் அப்துல் ரஹ்மான் காதரியா (46) – கோடம்பாக்கத்தைச் சேர்ந்த பெண், முஹம்மது யூசுப் முஸ்ரூக் (39) எஸ்.வி. பட்டனம், ராமநாதபுரம் முதலியோர் வந்தனர். அவர்கள் அந்த மூட்டைகளை, தங்களது லக்கேஜுடன் சேர்த்து எடுத்து செல்ல யத்தனித்த போது, அமூலாக்கப் பிரிவினர், கையும் களவுமாகப் பிடித்தனர். உள்ளே ரூ. 1.5 கோடி மதிப்புள்ள 6.5 கிலோ எபிடிரின் என்ற போதை மருந்து இருந்தது. சம்பந்தப் பட்ட அனைவரும் கைது செய்யப் பட்டனர்.

ஜெட் ஏர்வேஸைப் பொறுத்த வரைக்கும், மற்ற பிரச்சினகள் இருப்பதால், அக்கம்பெனி ஊழியர்கள் இதில் சம்பந்தப் பட்டிருப்பதை, தனியாக விசாரிக்க முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது.

A well known Sri Lankan cleric, who had allegedly tried to smuggle in six-and a half kilograms of ephedrine, a narcotic drug costing in the region of 1.5 crore Indian rupees, was arrested by Indian Police recently, The Hindu reported.

The cleric, 70-years-old Abdul Cadir Mahmood Buhary, was arrested along with six others at the Chennai Airport while he was attempting to smuggle the drug into Kuala Lumpur.
