முஸ்லீம் இளைஞர்கள் வெறியுடன் அமர்ஜோதி ஜவான் நினைவகத்தை சேதப்படுத்தியது: மும்பையில் நடந்த கலவரத்தில் முஸ்லீம் இளைஞர்கள் சிறிதும் உண்மையினை உணராமல், இந்நாட்டின் தியாகிகளின் மகத்துவத்தை நினையாமல், வெறியுடன், வெறுப்புடன், காழ்ப்புடன் அமர் ஜோதி ஜவான் நினைவகத்தை கால்களால் உதைத்து, கொம்புகளால் / கம்பிகளால் அடித்து, உடைத்து சேதப்படுத்தினர்[1]. உடையாத “பைபர் கிளாஸ்” கண்ணடி பெட்டியையும் உடைத்து சூரையாடியுள்ளனர்[2]. அது மட்டுமல்லாது, அங்கு வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த தலைகவசம் மற்றும் துப்பாக்கி முதலியவற்றையும் எடுத்துச் சென்றுள்ளனர்[3]. மும்பை கார்ப்பரேஷன் அதிகாரிகள் இன்றைக்குள் அதனை சீர் செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று தீர்மானித்தார்கள், ஆனால் முடியவில்லை[4].
அத்தகைய வெறிக்குக் காரணம் என்ன – யார் அப்படி அவர்களை வெறி கொள்ள செய்தனர்?: அடுல் காம்ப்ளே என்ற “மிட்-டே” என்ற நாளிதழைச் சேர்ந்த பத்திரிக்கையாளர் எடுத்த புகைப்படங்களில், அந்த வெறிகொண்ட முஸ்லீம் இளைஞர்கள் பதிவாகியுள்ளார்கள். அவர்கள் செயல்படும் விதத்திலிருந்தே, அவர்கள் எந்த அளவிற்கு வெறிகொண்டுள்ளார்கள் என்பதனையறியலாம். அஜ்மல் கசாப் போன்று ஆக்ரோஷமாக உள்ளான் என்று பார்த்தவர்களே கூறுகிறார்கள்[5]. அந்த அளவிற்கு முஸ்லீம் இளைஞர்களை வெறிகொள்ளச் செய்வது யார்? நாட்டின் மேன்மையை, வீரர்கள் சுதந்திரத்திற்காகத் தியாகம் புரிந்தத்தையும் அறியாமல் அப்படி கால்களால் உதைத்து, கொம்புகளால் / கம்பிகளால் அடித்து, உடைத்துள்ளார்கள் என்றால் அந்நிலை மாறவேண்டும். அவர்கள் திருந்த வேண்டும், தம்முடைய நாட்டைப் பற்றிப் புரிந்து கொள்ளவேண்டும்.
அமர்ஜோதி ஜவான் நினைவகம் உருவாகிய வரலாறு: அமர் ஜோதி ஜவான் மெமோரியல் – அமர் ஜோதி ஜவான் நினைவகம் ட்ரில் ஹவல்தார் சய்யது ஹுஸைன் (Drill Havaldar Sayyed Hussein) மற்றும் சிப்பாய் மங்கள் சாதியா (Sepoy Mangal Cadiya) என்ற இரு இந்திய வீரர்களின் தியாகத்தைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில் நிறுவப்பட்டதாகும். இவ்விரு வீரர்களும் ஆங்லிலேயரை எதிர்த்து போராடி, 1857ல் நடந்த சிப்பாய் கலகத்தில் ஈடுபட்டவர்கள். 150 ஆண்டு நினைவு விழாவின் போது, 2009ல் ஆஜாத் மைதானத்தில் நிறுவப்பட்டது. அக்டோபர் 15, 1857 – தீபாவளி நாளன்று சார்லஸ் போர்ஜெட் (Charles Forjett, the then Superintendent of Police, Bombay Region) எனேஅ அப்பொழுதய கிழக்கிந்திய கம்பெனியின் போலீஸ் சூப்பிரென்டென்டின் உத்தரவு படி, கிரெக்கெட் கிளப் அருகில் உள்ள மைதானத்தில் சுட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். அதனால்தான், அந்த இடம் “ஆஜாத் மைதான்” சுதந்திர மைதானம் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டது. ரவீந்தர வைகர் (Ravindra Waikar) என்பவர்தாம், அந்த நினைவிடம் அமைக்கக் காரணமாக இருந்தவர். அப்பொழுதைய கமிட்டியின் தலைவராக இருந்து, நினைவகத்தை உருவாக்கத் திட்டமிட்டார். அந்நினைவிடம் சேதப்படுத்தப் பட்டதைக் குறித்து, அவர் மிகவும் வருத்தமடைந்தார். “அச்செயல் மிகவும் அசிங்கமானது, வெட்கப்படவேண்டியது, கண்டிக்க வேண்டியது”, என்று தனது கருத்தை வெளியிட்டார்.
சேதப் படுத்தியவர்களை கைது செய்ய போலீஸார் தீவிரம்:
Mumbai Crime Branch and local police are racing against each other to nab these hoodlums, knowing whoever makes these crucial arrests will reap rich professional rewards.“Of all the miscreants, these men are the most wanted. They have hurt the sentiments of the entire nation. They must be arrested on priority,” said a senior Crime Branch official, on condition of anonymity.
An officer from Azad Maidan police station said, “In such a scenario, it is better if these men surrender before the police reach them. By giving themselves up, they would be able to avoid the wrath of the police as well as the public.”
“These photographs have been circulated among our informers. We are in constant touch with them for leads. Every policeman is on the lookout for them at present. If we manage to arrest them before Independence Day, it will be our tribute to the freedom fighters,” he added.
The photographs caused a furore in social media networks. Readers across the nation condemned the act, some even comparing the vandals to 26/11 militant Ajmal Qasab.
Confirming the report, joint commissioner of police (crime) Himanshu Roy said, “This man (top-right) has insulted the national monument of India, and arresting him is our priority. Several Muslim leaders have also condemned the act.”

சுதந்திரத்தினத்கிற்கு முன்பாகவாது, அவனைப் பிடித்துவிட வேண்டும். அப்படி செய்தால், அது அந்த தியாக-வீரர்களுக்கு செய்யும் உயர்ந்த மரியாதையாக இருக்கும்.
இப்படங்களைப் பார்த்தவர்களும் கொதித்துப் போயுள்ளார்கள். அக்மல் கசாப்புடன் ஒப்பிட்டி, அவர்களை தண்டிக்க வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுள்ளனர்.

The men you see in these photographs struck at the heart of the nation’s pride during the riots on Saturday, when they vandalised the iconic Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial near CST. Mumbai police, having drawn flak for its massive failure to contain the riots on Saturday, is now going on an overdrive to nab the miscreants.
According to reports, the entire force and its network is hot on the heels of these unidentified protestors, who kicked at the memorial, smashed it with a lathi, and then damaged the rifle and helmet inside the fibre glass casing.

The memorial, which was unveiled in 2009, was erected in memory of two sepoys — Sayyed Hussein and Mangal Cadiya — who were martyred during the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857.
These disturbing images were captured on Saturday by MiD DAY’s senior photographer Atul Kamble. Incidentally, Kamble became a victim of police violence while doing his job, even as the vandals went scot-free after sullying the iconic symbol of national pride.
Paradoxically, these photographs shot by Kamble have now become invaluable tools in the hands of the cops as they hunt for the vandals.
Crime Branch officials are now relying heavily on these shots, which are the only existing leads that can help trace these men. They will also act as evidence if and when the protestors are arrested.
Mumbai Crime Branch and local police are racing against each other to nab these hoodlums, knowing whoever makes these crucial arrests will reap rich professional rewards.

Despite a brave promise made by the mayor to get the damaged Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial outside Azad Maidan restored to its original glory before Independence Day, this task is close to impossible.

The mock-rifle encased in durable plexiglas and the engraved plaque bore the brunt of stone-pelters and destructive rioters and the rifle was stolen in the melee that erupted on Saturday. The process of making the mould for the rifle could take an entire week and this could cause some embarrassment for the mayor and BMC.
The memorial was inaugurated in 2009 and besides showcasing the rifle, also had a plaque honouring sepoys. The total loss incurred is estimated to about Rs 2 lakh and this would be borne by BMC.
Mayor Sunil Prabhu, who visited the spot yesterday afternoon to review the situation, said, “This is totally unacceptable and I feel sorry for whatever happened on Saturday at Azad Maidan.
The miscreants have disrespected the memorial by destroying it. I on behalf of BMC, promise that the memorial would be beautified and all damages rectified before Independence Day.”
Vasant Prabhu, deputy municipal commissioner (zone- I) said that work on the memorial would be completed as promised, but sans the rifle.
“No tenders would be called in for this work and the task will begin immediately.
The total cost to get the memorial done up is been estimated to about Rs 2 lakh. Everything will be done before Independence Day except for the rifle, as that needs a proper mould and cannot be done in a hurry,” Prabhu said.

வந்து அவர்களுக்கு அறிவுரை சொல்ல வேண்டியது தானே?
வந்தே மாதரம் வேண்டாம், நாட்டுஇப்பற்று வேண்டாம், பாகிஸ்தான் வென்றால் மகிழ்ச்சி, ஊர்வலத்தில் பாகிஸ்தான் கொடிகளை ஏந்தி வருவர், இந்த்யக் ஒடியை எரிப்பர், இந்திய விரர்களை இப்படி அவமதிப்பர். இப்படியே முஸ்லீம்கள் இருந்தால், அவர்களது சந்ததியர் எப்படி இருப்பர்?
இதனால் தான் முஸ்லீம்கள் அத்தகைய வேற்றுமை உணர்வு கொண்டு, இந்திய விரோதிகளாகிறார்கள். வரும் சந்ததியினர் முற்றிலும் இந்திய விரோதிகள் ஆகிவிடுவர்.
இங்கு அப்படியாகி விட்ட இந்த இருவரும் வெறியுடன் தான் இந்தியா நாட்டுச் சின்னங்களை உடைக்கிறார்கள்.
இவர்களை பாகிஸ்தானிற்கே அனுப்பிவிடுவது தான் நல்லது.
