அப்துல் கய்யூம் சேய்க் துபாயிலிருந்து விசாரணைக்கு வரவழைக்கப்பட்டாலும், மூன்று வருடங்களுக்குப் பிறகு, அபு சலீமின் நெருங்கிய குட்டாளியான அவன் போதிய ஆதாரங்கள் இல்லை என்று குல்ஷன்குமார் கொலை வழக்கிலிருந்து மும்பை நீதிமன்றத்திலிருந்து 14-07-2010 அன்று விடுதலை செய்யப்பட்டான். 2002ல் வழக்கு தொடர்ந்து நடந்தபோது 18 பேர் இவ்விதமாக விடுதலை செய்யப்பட்டனர்.

குல்ஷன்குமார் கொலை: ஆகஸ்ட் 12, 1997ல் குல்ஷன்குமார் மும்பையில் அந்தேரி என்ற இடத்தில் கோவிலுக்கு அருகில் மூன்று நபர்களால் சுட்டுக் கொலை செய்யப்பட்டர். இவர் டி-சீரீஸ் என்ற பெயரில் கேசட்டுகள் வெளியிட்டு அதன்மூலம் நிறைய சம்பாதித்தார். அப்பொழுது மும்பை தீவிரவாதக் கூட்டம் மும்பை சினிமாக்காரர்களிரமிருந்து மாமூல் வசூலிப்பது வழக்கமகக் கொண்டிருந்தது. அதே போல குல்ஷன்குமாரிடம் பணம் கேட்டு மிரட்டியபோது, கொடுக்கததால், துபாயில் திட்டமிட்டு, கொலை செய்யப்பட்டார். இந்த கொலை மற்ற சினிமாக்காரர்களுக்கு ஒரு பாடமாக இருக்கும் என்றும் தீர்மானித்ததால், தமக்கு மென்மையாக உள்ள தாக்குதலுக்கு, அவரை தேர்ந்தெடுத்துக் கொலை செய்தனர்.

Three years after Abdul Qayyum Shaikh, a close aide of gangster Abu Salem, was deported from Dubai for his alleged role in the murder of music baron Gulshan Kumar, a sessions court on Wednesday acquitted him due to lack of evidence.
Thus another chapter closed in the prosecution of those charged with the murder. Police has had little success in the case as the first trial which ended in 2002 had also led to the acquittal of 18 men.
The trial against Qayyum began in April this year with the prosecution examining nine witnesses against him. Kumar was killed by three persons outside a temple in suburban Andheri on August 12, 1997.
According to the prosecution, Qayyum was one of the conspirators who attended meetings in Dubai where the plot to kill Kumar was hatched.
Prosecution had said Salem and absconding accused — music composer Nadeem Saifee — were also present at the meetings which took place in the office of Anees Ibrahim, brother of fugitive Dawood Ibrahim.
Qayyum who was deported from Dubai in 2007 was booked for conspiracy and murder.
The motive given for the murder was Kumar’s alleged business rivalry where music baron Ramesh Taurani was alleged to have paid a Rs 25 lakh ‘supari’ to Salem to kill Kumar. However, police could never prove this conspiracy angle and Taurani and 17 other accused were acquitted in 2002. The case against Qayyum remained pending because he was in Dubai.
Nadeem was in London at the time of Kumar’s murder and has not returned since then. The Indian government had sought Nadeem’s extradition but lost the case in a UK court. Salem is still shown as an absconding accused in the murder case as his extradition treaty with Portugal which led to his deportation to India in 2005 does not mention that he would be tried for the Kumar murder case.
Qayyum Shaikh, also an accused in the 1993 serial blasts case and a key member of D-gang, was caught in Mumbai. Qayyum was believed to have fled to Dubai around 15 years ago and was wanted for seven cases registered in the city. According to police, Qayyum used to handle the accounts of the Dawood gang.
According to the CBI, Qayyum allegedly sold a 9 mm pistol to actor Sanjay Dutt at the instance of Dawood’s brother Anees Ibrahim in September 1992. In his confession, Dutt revealed that he first met Qayyum on the sets of a film in Dubai. The gangster later met him in a studio in Mumbai and sold the pistol to him for Rs 40,000, the actor said.
Qayyum, a resident of Mahim in northwest Mumbai, was arrested in a case registered under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act in Juhu police station in 2000.

MUMBAI, August 12: Two persons belonging to the Abu Salem gang have been arrested and seven others detained in connection with the murder of music baron Gulshan Kumar here today. Police sources said Vakil Shekhar and Shaukat of the Abu Salem faction were arrested at 10 pm. Meanwhile the police have detained seven others for interrogation. Further investigations are on,police sources said.

New Delhi: Abdul Rauf Merchant, who was convicted for killing audio king Gulshan Kumar in 1997, and had absconded has been arrested in Bangladesh. Merchant had been released on furlough when he went absconding since Saturday, May 23, 2009.
Merchant, a resident of Mumbra suburb of Thane near Mumbai, was released on furlough for 14 days by the Bombay High Court last month on condition that he would report to police every day.
Merchant reported for a week but had thereafter stopped coming to Mumbra police station, Joint Commissioner of Police, Rakesh Maria said, adding efforts were on to trace him.
“We have got certain clues about his whereabouts but at this stage we cannot disclose anything”, Maria said.
Furlough is leave granted to a convict every two years for a fortnight to visit his family and return to jail after expiry of the period.
Merchant had filed a petition from jail asking for release on furlough. The court had allowed his plea after advocate Farhana Shah argued his case as amicus curiae (friend of the court).

Do they feel that they have done something great or achieved something big on this earth?

As I pointed out, it is very difficult for India to counter them.
Indians do not have unity or patriotism, unity and above all courage to defend themselves.
Though, sizeable Muslims have come from India contributing to the Islamic world, they have been living in their own world, without any belonging to India.
The Indian politicians have been indecisive, and each party placates Muslims in its own way adapting and adopting different methods, thus, oneway, they are responsible raising Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism.
