தனது மாநிலமான காஷ்மீரத்திற்கும், பாகிஷ்தானில் இருந்த தனது ஆள் ஹிஜ்புல் முஜாஹத்தீன் ஷெராவிற்கும் (Hizbul Mujahideen handler, Shera) மாறி-மாறி ஃபோன் செய்து கொண்டிருந்தான்.
ஏற்கெனவே ஜிஹாதில் குஜராத்தில் தீவிரவதச் செயல்களை அரங்கேற்றப் போகிறர்கள் என்ற செய்தி அறிந்ததும் தீவிரவாத-எதிர்ப்புப்படை எதேச்சையாக இவனது தொலைபேசி உரையாடல் கேட்டு 14-03-2010 (ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை) அன்று பிடித்தனர்!
ஹிந்துக்கள் மகிழ்சியாக ஹோலிப் பண்டிகையைக் கொண்டாடிக் கொண்டு இருந்தனர்.
இவனுக்கோ சொல்லியபடி கூட்டாளிகள் வரவில்லை போலும்!
அதாவது தீவிரவாத செயல்களை செய்வதற்கு!

Bashir was commenting that there was no fun in Holi with colours and that it should be “steeped in blood to have real fun”.

Ahmedabad, Mar 15 : The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) have taken into their custody a suspected militant of Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit.

Acting on intelligence inputs, a raid was conducted and Bashir Baba, a resident of Srinagar was arrested. Bashir had come to Ahmedabad for training with an NGO.
“After reaching Ahmedabad instead of taking interest in medical camps and other events, he was found to be involved in suspicious activities like setting up of network, meeting people, getting in touch on phone or through email with his handlers,” said Gujarat ATS chief Ajay Tomar.
An alert has however been issued in the country following intelligence reports that some militant outfits are planning attack in major cities.
Earlier on Sunday (March 14), the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested two people in Mumbai, who were allegedly plotting to blow up storage tanks of the state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and other vital installations.

Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad officials bring suspected militant Bashir Ahmed Baba to the ATS headquarters in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
AHMEDABAD: Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Ajay Tomar said here on Sunday that Bashir, arrested from the national highway near Anand, came here from Srinagar on February 20, apparently to spot “terror talents” who would be willing to go for training in Pakistan and establish the terror network in Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat.
Mr. Tomar said the 32-year-old Bashir was closely working with the Hizb’s top militants based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), including Bilal Shera, as well as with General Abdulla of the PoK-based Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen. Bashir maintained his links with Bilal and his other Pakistan “handlers” through mobile phones and e-mails even after he came here.
“Police have recovered three mobile phones, four SIM cards, e-mail addresses and objectionable documents from him,” Mr. Tomar said.
Bashir surveyed vital installations such as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), important business spots on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway on the posh outskirts of Ahmedabad, and several other important and usually-crowded spots such as the Fun Republic, Kankaria Lake, Gujarat Science City, Lal Darwaja, and the Law Garden.
Major strike averted?
The famous Akshardham temple in Gandhinagar, which suffered a terrorist attack in 2002, was also among his targets, Mr. Tomar said. He believed that Bilal and Bashir had come for some ‘action’ in Gujarat. “Maybe we have averted some big terror strike in the State with this arrest,” Mr. Tomar said.
Bashir would generally pick up poor Muslim youths with the promise of helping them set up business establishments or other means of living in PoK and simultaneously inject fundamentalist ideologies into them. He was helped and financed in this by Shera, who paid him a fixed amount per “recruit.”
Mr. Tomar said Bilal had trained more than 3,000 youths in handling explosives. He travelled to PoK in 2006 on a valid passport and met Shera and went back to Pakistan in 2008 with a recruit named Arif Gilkar, who was trained there.
Bashir himself was arrested by the J&K police in 2008 in an explosives case and after being released on bail, he joined the Srinagar-based Kimaya Foundation as a social worker which was used by him as a cover to indulge in his main activity to build up the terror network.
His job as a camp assistant in the Foundation, which carries out surgical operations for cleft lips, also helped him to come in contact with many people as it nine centres across the country, including the one in Ahmedabad, where he was sent for training.
Mr. Tomar, however, refused to divulge any details about Bashir’s activities here.
Bashir was produced before the Anand court on Sunday and remanded to police custody for 14 days.

Ahmedabad: When Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) announced on Sunday that they had nabbed Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Bashir Ahmed Baba, the Parishram apartment in city’s posh Satellite area became news but for all wrong reasons. The ATS said Baba had stayed in one of the flats of the apartment before he was nabbed from Anand.
Now, residents of the apartment say that it is not for the first time that subversive elements operated from the apartment. They say Parishram apartment was also in news in the 1990s for wrong reasons. “The Parishram apartment was in news when underworld don Abdul Latif had spread his tentacles in the city in the ’90s,” said a resident on condition of anonymity. According to him, Latif’s sharpshooter Sharif Khan lived in one of the flats in Parishram apartment and operated from there. “Latif’s gangsters opted for the western part of city for hiding,” he said.
However, ATS chief Ajay Tomar told DNA on Monday that they had not come to know of any such thing so far. “That Sharif Khan used to operate from the apartment is not known to us,” said Tomar.
The two-decade old apartment has 276 flats and in the flat number 192 of block number 16 Bashir Baba lived. Sources said that the flat in which Baba lived is owned by ISRO official MN Satya Prakash and it was given to Dr Anand Shah on rent.
Baba had come to Ahmedabad on February 20 and was staying in Parishram apartment. He had done recce of vital installations like shopping malls on SG Highway, Law Garden, ISRO, Kankaria, Akshardham, and railway stations.
Sources said that Bashir, along with two other persons, was living in flat number 192 of the apartment and kept a low profile before other residents.They said that ATS had information about Bashir and had kept a close watch on his movement.
Some time back, two ATS personnel had come in plainclothes and surveyed the area. Then a police team comprising senior police officials came in eight to ten vehicles and raided the apartment and took Bashir and two other persons into custody. Rajendra Kothari, the pramukh of Parishram apartment, said they were shocked to know that a terrorist had stayed here.

இது உண்மையிலேயே வெறி பிடித்த போக்கு. இஸ்லாமில் அத்தகைய நிலை இல்லை. இஸ்லாத்திற்கு கெட்டபெயரை உண்டாக்கவே அவர்கள் இவ்வாறு செய்கின்றனர். பாகிஸ்தான் முதலில் தீவிரவாதத்தை விடுத்து அமைதி பாதையில் திரும்ப வேண்டும். இந்தியாவுடன் நட்பை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். பாகிஸ்தானிற்கு இந்தியாவின் தேவையுள்ளதே தவிர, இந்தியாவிற்கு பாகிஸ்தான் தொந்தரவாகத் தான் உள்ளது.
