தஸ்லிமா நஸ்.ரீன், “பர்தா ஹை பர்தா”, கலவரம்!
கர்நாடகத்தில் பிஜேபி ஆட்சியிலுள்ளது என்ற காரணத்திற்காகவே அவ்வப்போது ஏதாவது பிரச்சினையைக் கிளப்பவேண்டும் என்றமுறையில் காரியங்கள் நடக்கின்றன. செய்திகள் வருகின்றன.
கருணாநிதியோ எடியூரப்பாவைப் புகழ்ந்து தள்ளுகிறார், விழாக்களுக்கெல்லாம் “பன்னி, பன்னி” (கன்னடத்தில் பன்னி / பன்றி என்றால் வாருங்கள் என்று பொருள்) என்று ஆள் விட்டு இல்லை, மந்திரியையே அனுப்பி அழைக்கிறார்! ஆனால் அவர் மாநிலத்தைச் சேர்ந்த தேவ கவுடாவோ கெட்ட வார்த்தயில் (அதை தமிழில் எழுதுவதைவிட அந்த கமல் ஹஸன் ஒரு திரைப்படத்தில் சொன்னதைக் குறிப்பிடலாம்) திட்டுகிறார்! ஆனால் இந்த பாராட்டும், திட்டும் நபர்கள் ஒரே கூட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள்தாம்!
மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு, பல-அடுக்கு மாடி கட்டிடத்தின் மேலே டீஸல் டேங் இருந்தது, என்று பிரம்மாண்டமாக ஆங்கில டிவி செனல்கள் செய்திகள் வெளியிட்டு அடங்கிவிட்டன.
கர்நாடகா மற்றும் குஜராத்தில் நல்லது நடந்தால் எதுவும் பேச மாட்டார்கள், ஆனால், ஒரு சிறிய அல்லது சம்பந்தமே இல்லாத விஷயம் இருந்தால் அதை தேசிஅ மற்றும் உலகப் பிரச்சினையாக்கிவிடுவார்கள்.
இப்பொழுதும் அத்தகைய தொல்லைதான், ஆனால் பாவம், ஏற்கெனவே இரண்டு மனித உயிர்கள் சென்றுவிட்டன. இப்பிரச்சினையின் பின்னணியில் பல விஷயங்கள் உள்ளன
சப்தஹிகா என்ற கன்னட பிரபாவின் வார இணைப்பிலே தஸ்லிமா நஸ்-ரீன் எழுதியதாக “பர்தா ஹை பர்தா” என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு கட்டுரை வெலிவந்திருந்தது. நியூ இன்டியன் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் குழுமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அந்த பத்திரிக்கையில், அது மொழி பெயர்ப்பு செய்யப்பட்டது அல்லது ஆங்கிலத்தில் “சிந்து” என்ற தலைப்பில் எழுதப்பட்டதின் தழுவல், முன்பு விளியான விவரம், தேதி,…… என்றெல்லாம் மூலத்தை…………விவரங்களைக் குறிப்பிடவில்லை.
கேட்கவேண்டுமா, உடனே “சியாசத்”: என்ற உருது பத்திரிக்கைத் திரித்து அதைப் பற்றி மார்ச் 1, 2010 அன்று விமர்சனம் செய்து வெளியிட்டது. அதன் பிரதியும் யாருக்கும் கிடைக்கவில்லையாம்!
உடனே பி. எஸ். எடியூரப்பா சொந்த ஊரான சிமோகாவில் எதிர்ப்புப்போராட்டங்கள், கலவரங்கள் ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டன.
முஸ்லீம்கள் ஹஸனில் “அந்த கட்டுரைக்கு” எதிராக நடத்திய பேரணி!
முஸ்லிம்கள் பச்சைக் கொடிகளைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டு கிளம்பிவிட்டனர். “தாரே தக்பீர், அல்லாவு அக்பர்”……………கடையடைப்பு, …………….கலாட்டா, ………………கல்வீச்சு………………………., அரசிற்கு எதிராக வசவுகள், …..மிரட்டல்கள், …………போலீஸார் நிலைமைக் காட்டுக்கடங்காமல் போன நிலையில் சுட்டதில் இரண்டுபேர் இறந்துள்ளனர்– அதாவது சுட்டதில் ஒருவர், கல் எறிதாக்குதலில் ஒருவர் என இறந்துள்ளனர். அலர் காயமடைந்துள்ளனர்.

செய்திதாள்கள் மன்னிப்புத் தெரிவித்தன. எஃப்.ஐ.ஆர் போட்டு இந்திய குற்றவியல் சட்டத்தின் 153A, 153B and 295A of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) பிரிவுகளில் கக்களைத் தூண்டிவிட்டதற்கும், இரண்டு பிரிவினரிடையில் தப்பெண்ணம் உண்டாக்கியதற்கும் வழக்குப் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
தஸ்லிமா நஸ்-ரீனே தான் அந்த செய்திதாளுக்கு எந்த கட்டுரையும் எழுதவில்லை என்று தமது அதிரச்சியை வெளியிட்டுள்ளார். அதுமட்டுமல்லாது தான், “முஹமது நபி பர்காவிற்கு எதிராக இருந்தார் என்று எப்பொழுதும் குறிப்பிடவில்லை”, என்ரு தெளிவு படுத்தினார். ஆகாவே, இது ஒரு, “திரித்து எழுதப்பட்ட கட்டுரையே’, என்று முடிவாக எடுத்துக் காட்டினார்.

அந்த Outlook என்ற பத்திரிக்கை பெரும்பலும், முஸ்லீம்களுக்கு சாதகமாக அல்லது அவர்களைத் தூண்டிவிடும் வகையில் எழுதுவது, செய்திகள், கட்டுரைகள் வெலியிடுவது வழக்கம். அந்த ஆங்கில மொழிபெயர்ப்பு ஓரளவிற்கு மூலத்தைப் போல உள்ளதென்றாலும், ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படாத நிலையில்தான் இருந்தது. ஏனெனில் சில வார்த்தைகள் மற்றும் சொற்றொடர்கள் தூண்டிவிடும் வகையில் இருந்தன என்று படித்தவர்கள் எடுத்துக் காட்டினர். மேலும் இந்த கட்டுரை வெளியிடப்படும் நேரத்தில்தான் தஸ்லிமா நஸ்-ரீன் இந்தியாவில் நிரந்தர குடியிருப்பாக கோரியது ( permanent residency ) மற்றும் மீலாடி நபியும் வந்தது!
ஆகவே ஹசன் மற்றும் சிமோகாவில் முஸ்லீம்கள் வேண்டுமென்றே பிரச்சினை எழுப்பவே அவ்வாறு செய்ததாகத் தெரிகின்றது. அதாவது இது “திரும்ப-திரும்ப செய்வது” என்ற முறையில் வருகிறது. முன்புகூட ஏற்கெனவே வெளிவந்த ஒரு சிறுகதையை “டெக்கான் ஹெரால்ட்” மொழிபெயர்த்து வெளியிட்டபோது, அந்த செய்திதாளின் அலுவலகத்தைதாக்கி, நொறுக்கியடித்து, தீவைத்ததாக செய்திகள் வந்தன. இப்பொழுதும் அதே முறைக் காணப்படுவதாக கையாளப்படுவதாக எடுத்துக் காட்டுகின்றனர். அத்தகைய பத்திரிக்கை அலுவலகங்கள் தாக்கப்படுவதும் திட்டமிட்டதாகவே தெரிகிறது.

Late on Tuesday night, about 15 unidentified men attacked the offices of Kannada daily Kannada Prabha and an eveninger with petrol bombs in Mangalore, injuring a person and leaving computers and office furniture smashed. The latest attacks came even as the Karnataka Police registered cases against Kannada Prabha and Urdu daily Siasat for “hurting religious sentiments” after communal violence erupted in parts of the state over the publication of a translation of an article purportedly written by exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen.
Two people were killed in Shimoga district of Karnataka on Monday in police firing and violence during protests over the article attributed to Nasreen. Violence was also reported from the nearby Hassan district.
At the root of the protests and violence was a full-page Sunday supplement feature published in Kannada Prabha, entitled Purdah hai Purdah. The article was described as a translation of a 2007 Nasreen piece published in sections of the media with the title ‘Let’s think again about the burqa’. On Monday, Siasat, whose Karnataka edition is managed by Congress leader Roshan Baig, published a report alleging that the Kannada daily had published derogatory remarks against Muslims in the Sunday piece.

However, Nasreen, living in a secret location since her return to India last month, termed the article a “distorted story” and its publication “atrocious”. “In any of my writings I have never mentioned that Prophet Muhammad was against burqa,” she said in a statement.
“The incident that occurred in Karnataka on Monday shocked me. I learned that it was provoked by an article written by me that appeared in a Karnataka newspaper. But I have never written any article for any Karnataka newspaper in my life,” she said. “I suspect that it is a deliberate attempt to malign me and to misuse my writings to create disturbance in society. I wish peace will prevail.”
While Kannada Prabha did not attribute any reason for the publication of the piece, it is widely believed that it came in the backdrop of an ongoing Supreme Court case on the question of whether election identity cards will violate the right of Muslim women to practise their religion. However, a senior member of the Kannada Prabha team here said, “We wanted to have a good article that creates a good healthy discussion. There was no other intention. This has taken a new political turn. All the protests are politically motivated.” He added: “We had carried the report on the Supreme Court case on the voter identity issue prominently on the front page. The Sunday feature is not connected in any way to that report.”
As for Siasat, Baig said his paper only carried a news item on the Kannada paper’s coverage. “It’s a 2007 article by Taslima Nasreen, which has been up on some hardline Hindu websites and was carried very prominently by Kannada Prabha on Sunday, with a provocative headline from an old Hindi song ‘Purdah hai Purdah’, and pictures of women in burqas. My paper just carried a news item on that coverage which was printed on Monday,” Baig said.
“My mother had passed away on Sunday, so I was not in the office or overseeing things that day. Otherwise, I may have ensured that this was not carried. Anyway, what we carried was a brief report,” he said.
According to Baig, his newspaper cannot be connected to the violence in Shimoga. “It had nothing to do with our coverage as our paper reaches Shimoga only by about 12 noon or 1 pm. Urdu is also not read that much by Muslims in that part of the state. They are mostly Kannada-speaking. There is no way our paper could have contributed to the outrage,” he said.
The Shimoga district where much of the violence occurred on Monday is the hometown of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who told the Karnataka Assembly that “selfish elements” were behind the violence, and new state BJP president K S Eshwarappa. On Tuesday, normalcy was restored in the troubled parts of the state under strong police presence and the imposition of curfew. (with PTI)

மூடிகொள்ளத்தான் வேண்டும் என்றல், மூடிக் கொள்ளட்டமே, இங்கென்னப் பிரச்சினை?
