புதுடில்லி : பாக்., பயங்கரவாதி டேவிட் ஹெட்லி, மும்பை தாக்குதலில் தொடர்பு கொண்டிருந்தானா என்று தேசிய புலனாய்வு நிறுவனம்(என்.ஐ.ஏ.,) விசாரிக்கத் துவங்கியுள்ளது.
ஹெட்லியும், தாகாவுர் ராணாவும் இந்தியாவில் பல இடங்களுக்கு குறிப்பாக மும்பை, டில்லி, புனே, லக்னோ, ஆக்ரா, கொச்சி, சூரத் மற்றும் ஆமதாபாத் நகரங்களுக்கு அடிக்கடி வந்திருக்கின்றனர். மேலும், புனேயிலுள்ள ஓஷா ஆசிரமத்துக்கு 2008ம் ஆண்டிலும், இந்த ஆண்டு மார்ச்சிலும் ஹெட்லி சென்றிருக்கிறான். மும்பை தாக்குதல் நடப்பதற்கு பல மாதங் கள் முன், 2007ல் தாஜ், டிரிடென்ட் ஓட்டல் களில் ஹெட்லியும், ஒரு விருந்தினர் மாளிகையில் ராணாவும் தங்கியிருந் துள்ளனர்.சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி ரயில் நிலையம் அருகிலுள்ள பிரீச் கேண்டி பகுதியில் ஒரு பிளாட்டில் வாடகை கொடுத்து தங்கியுள் ளான் ஹெட்லி.

அங்கு தங்கியிருந்தபடியே, பின்னர் தாக்குதல் நடந்த நான்கு இடங் களான தாஜ் ஓட்டல், டிரிடென்ட் ஓட்டல், சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி ரயில் நிலையம், நாரிமன் குடியிருப்பு ஆகிய பகுதிகளில் சுற்றியிருக்கிறான்.கசாப் ஒன்பது பயங் கரவாதிகளுடன் மும் பைக்கு வருவதற்கு ஐந்து நாட்கள் முன்னதாகத்தான் ராணா மும்பையிலிருந்து கிளம்பியிருக் கிறான்.மும்பை தாக்குதல் நடந்த போது இருவரும் பாகிஸ்தானில் இருந்துள் ளனர்.இந்தத் தகவல்களை சேகரித்த தேசிய புலனாய்வு நிறுவனம் (என்.ஐ.ஏ.,), கசாப் புக்கு இருவரையும் தெரியுமா என்று அவனிடம் விசாரித்து வருகிறது.
கசாப்பிடமிருந்து கைப்பற்றப்பட்ட மும் பைப் பகுதி போட் டோக்கள், வீடியோக் கள் ஹெட்லி கொடுத்தவைதானா என்றும் விசாரணை நடக்கிறது.மும்பைத் தாக்குதல் நடந்த போது இருவரும் பாகிஸ்தானில் இருந்தனர் என்ற தகவலுக்கு, பாகிஸ்தானிடமிருந்து இதுவரை எவ்வித மறுப்பும் வரவில்லை என்பது குறிப்பிடத் தக்கது.
மூணாறு : அமெரிக்காவில் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள பயங்கரவாதி டேவிட் ஹெட்லி, இரண்டு மாதங்களுக்கு முன் கேரள மாநிலம் மூணாறில் தங்கியிருந்த தகவலையடுத்து, புலனாய்வுத்துறையினர் விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.
லஷ்கர்-இ-தொய்பா பயங்கரவாத அமைப்பின் தூண்டுதலால், இந்தியாவில் தாக்குதல் நடத்த சதித்திட்டம் தீட்டிய அமெரிக்காவைச் சேர்ந்த பயங்கரவாதி டேவிட் ஹெட்லி, அவனது நண்பர் ராணா, அவரது மனைவி சாம்ராய் ராணாவுடன் கொச்சியில் தங்கியிருந்ததாக தகவல்கள் வெளியாகி இருந்தன.டேவிட் ஹெட்லி குறித்து மும்பையில் மத்திய புலனாய்வுத் துறையினர் விசாரணை நடத்தியபோது, இதே பெயரில் ஒருவர் மூணாறில் தங்கியிருந்தது தெரிந்தது.
இதையடுத்து புலனாய்வுத் துறையினர் ரகசியமாக விசாரணை நடத்தினர்.மூணாறில் டாடா கம்பெனிக்கு சொந்தமான “ஹைரேஞ் கிளப்’ விடுதியில் கடந்த செப்., 18, 19 ல் டேவிட் ஹெட்லி என்பவர் ஒரு பெண்ணுடன் தங்கியுள்ளார். 2006ல் அமெரிக்காவில் பெறப்பட்ட பாஸ்போர்ட்டில் ஹெட்லியுடன் மனைவி என்று கூறப்படும் பெண்ணும் உடன் வந்துள்ளார்.அவர்களது பாஸ்போர்ட் நகல்களையும், அவர்கள் பயன்படுத்திய இந்திய, அமெரிக்க தனியார் நிறுவன மொபைல் போன் எண்களையும் புலனாய்வுத் துறையினர் கைப்பற்றியுள்ளனர்.பாஸ்போர்ட்டில் உள்ள ஹெட்லியின் போட்டோவிற்கும் தேசிய புலனாய்வுத்துறை கைவசமுள்ள போட்டோவிற்கும் சிறிய வித்தியாசங்கள் உள்ளதால், இரு போட்டோக்களையும் ஒப்பிட்டு ஆய்வு நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.
சுற்றுலாவிற்காக மூணாறு வந்ததாகவும் மும்பையில் தொழில் செய்து வருவதாகவும் ஹெட்லி கூறியதாக தகவல்கள் வெளியாகியுள்ளன.முதலில் மூன்று பேருக்கு மூன்று அறைகள் முன்பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டன. இறுதியில் ஹெட்லியும் ஒரு பெண்ணும் மட்டுமே வந்துள்ளனர். இங்கு இரண்டு நாட்கள் தங்கியிருந்த இவர்கள் நெடும்பாசேரி சென்று அங்கிருந்து விமானம் மூலம் டில்லி சென்றுள்ளனர்.வெளிநாட்டு சுற்றுலா பயணிகள் இப்பகுதியில் தங்கினால் அவர்கள் ஓட்டலில் பூர்த்தி செய்து கொடுக்கும் “சி’ படிவத்தையும் புலனாய்வுத் துறையினர் கைப்பற்றியுள்ளனர்.”மூணாறில் தங்கியிருந்த ஹெட்லியும், அமெரிக்காவில் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட பயங்கரவாதி ஹெட்லியும் ஒருவர்தானா என்பது குறித்து விசாரணை நடந்து வருவதாகவும், இது குறித்து வேறு தகவல்கள் வெளியிட இயலாது’ என்றும் அதிகாரிகள் கூறினர்.
மும்பை : “மும்பை தாக்குதல் வழக்கில் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட பாகிம் அன்சாரி, போலி ஆவணங்கள் கொடுத்து பாஸ்போர்ட் பெற்றுள்ளான்’ என, பாகிஸ்தான் அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
மும்பையில் கடந்த ஆண்டு நவம்பரில் பயங்கரவாதிகள் தாக்குதல் நடத்தினர். இந்தத் தாக்குதல் தொடர்பாக அஜ்மல் கசாப், பாகிம் அன்சாரி உட்பட சிலர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இந்தத் தாக்குதல் வழக்கின் விசாரணை மும்பை ஆர்தர்ரோடு சிறையில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள தனி கோர்ட்டில் நடந்து வருகிறது.நேற்று நடந்த விசாரணையின் போது, நீதிபதி தகிலியானி முன் ஆஜரான வெளியுறவு அமைச்சக இணைச் செயலர் மான்பிரீத் ஓரா கூறியதாவது:இந்த ஆண்டு ஜூலை மாதத்தில் நான், பாகிஸ்தானில் உள்ள இந்திய தூதரகத்தின் ஹை கமிஷனராக இருந்தேன்.
அப்போது பாக்., உள்துறை அமைச்சர் ரகுமான் மாலிக் என்னை அழைத்தார். அவரைச் சந்தித்த போது, மும்பை தாக்குதல் விசாரணை தொடர்பான சில விவரங்களைத் தெரிவித்தார். அப்போது, “மும்பை தாக்குதல் சதி தொடர்பாக, கைது செய் யப்பட்டுள்ள பாகிம் அன்சாரி, பாகிஸ்தானில், போலி ஆவணங்கள் கொடுத்து பாஸ்போர்ட் பெற்றுள்ளான் என்றும், அந் நாட்டின் பதிவு ஆணைய ஆவணங்களில் இருந்து இந்த விவரங்கள் தெரியவந்துள்ளன’ என்றும் கூறினார்.அதேநாளில், பாகிஸ்தானில் தெற்கு ஆசிய விவகாரங்களை கவனிக்கும் டைரக்டர் ஜெனரல் என்னை சந்தித்தார். அந்த நேரத்தில், பாகிம் அன்சாரி பாஸ்போர்ட் பெற்றது தொடர்பான விபரங்களைக் கூறினார். போலியான ஆவணங்கள் சமர்ப்பித்து, அந்த பாஸ்போர்ட் பெறப்பட்டுள்ளது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.இவ்வாறு ஓரா கூறினார்.

அமெரிக்காவில் கைது செய்யப்பட்ட டேவிட் ஹெட்லிக்கு எதிரான வழக்கில் பாலிவுட் தயாரிப்பாளர் மகேஷ் பட்டின் மகன் ராகுல் பட் ஒரு சாட்சியாக சேர்க்கப்பட்டிருப்பதாக காவல்துறையினர் தெரிவித்தனர்.
லஸ்கர்-ஈ-தோய்பா தீவிரவாத அமைப்புடன் தொடர்பு இருப்பதாகக் கூறி ஹெட்லியையும், ரானாவையும் அமெரிக்க புலனாய்வுத் துறையினர் கைது செய்திருக்கிறார்கள்.
அவர்கள் இந்தியாவில் தலைநகர் டெல்லி, மும்பை, கொச்சி போன்ற நகரங்களுக்கு வந்து சென்றிருப்பதும் விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது.

மும்பை : அமெரிக்காவில் கைதான பயங்கரவாதி டேவிட் ஹெட்லியுடன், பாலிவுட் நடிகை ஒருவருக்கும் தொடர்பு உள்ளது என்ற அதிர்ச்சித் தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது. ஹெட்லியுடன் அந்த நடிகை இரவு விருந்து சாப்பிடச் சென்றதாகவும் கூறப்படுகிறது. லஷ்கர் -இ- தொய்பா அமைப்பின் தூண்டுதலின் பேரில், இந்தியாவில் தாக்குதல் நடத்த சதித் திட்டம் தீட்டிய டேவிட் ஹெட்லி என்ற அமெரிக்கரையும், அவரின் கூட்டாளியான ராணா என்பவரையும் அமெரிக்காவின் பெடரல் புலனாய்வு நிறுவன (எப்.பி.ஐ.,) அதிகாரிகள் கைது செய்தனர்.
அவர்களிடம் நடத்தப்படும் விசாரணையில் தினமும் புதுப்புது தகவல்கள் வெளியான வண்ணம் உள்ளன. இந்நிலையில், இந்தியாவில் உள்ள பல நகரங்களுக்கு ஹெட்லி வந்து சென்றுள்ளதால், அங்கெல்லாம் தீவிர விசாரணை நடந்து வருகிறது. 20க்கும் மேற்பட்ட குழுவினர் விசாரணை நடத்தி வருகின்றனர்.

Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhat has always been a staunch opposer of terrorism. He has often raised his voice against terrorism whenever there have been attacks. Now NIA has found that his son Rahul Bhat and nephew Emraan Hashmi were in touch with David Coleman Headley, who allegedly plotted terror attacks in India and Denmark.

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi said to be in touch with Headley and the investigators are looking to probe that link. They have found phone records that link Emraan Hashmi to Headley, reports CNN-IBN. It is said that Rahul Bhatt introduced Emraan to Headley, after which they met up twice, including once on the sets of Hashmi’s latest film Tum Mile.
Rahul Bhatt told investigators that Hashmi and Headley have been in touch. Meanwhile, it is said that Rahul Bhatt is not a suspect and that he is being treated as a witness in the case. Activists of a regional party in Gujarat on Tuesday protested against screening of Mahesh Bhatt’s home production Tum Mile, following his son Rahul Bhatt’s alleged links with US terror suspect David Coleman Headley.

According to reports, the protestors also set off crackers inside theatres and forced viewers to vacate the premises.
The stir triggered following media reports that the mysterious name, Rahul, mentioned extensively in Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operative Headley’s e-mails to handlers in Pakistan, refers to Rahul Bhatt.
Though investigators said that Rahul was not aware that Headley had LeT links, media reports suggest that it was Rahul who helped Headley rent a flat near Breach Candy hospital and the two met at a gym where Rahul was a member.
The party had earlier ransacked a theatre in Rajkot and also has plans to protest screening of the film in all single screen and multiplex theatres across the state.

The Bollywood links in the sensational case of David Coleman Headley, the Pakistan-born US national arrested by the FBI for allegedly plotting terror attacks in India and Denmark, are getting stronger.
Days after filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s son Rahul Bhatt helped Mumbai police figure out Headley’s ‘Rahul’ connect, there are reports that actors Emraan Hashmi and Kangna Ranaut too knew the terror suspect through Rahul. While Hashmi reportedly had met Headley at a Mumbai pub in 2008, Kangna was reportedly introduced to the latter on the sets of Mahesh Bhatt’s Woh Lamhe.
Kangna, however, denies the allegations saying, “I have never met Rahul Bhatt, so where is the question of meeting anyone through him? I just know two people from the Bhatt camp — Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt. I don’t know who Headley is. I’ve never met him. These are fabricated stories. I’ll take legal action against the TV channel that started these reports, which have damaged my credibility.”
It is also being speculated that Headley was in touch with Hashmi till recently and used to meet him on the sets of his latest release Tum Mile. When contacted, Hashmi’s terse reply is, “All questions regarding the case should be directed to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).” However, Tum Mile director Kunal Deshmukh clarifies, “Headley never visited Emraan on our sets. People are fabricating stories to derive media mileage. My set was a closed set; even my parents couldn’t visit me there. Rahul Bhatt is not a suspect; he is a witness in the case. He is helping the investigating agencies. And why drag the film into this?”
Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is anguished over the reports. “This is the theatre of the absurd. The media in generating news and breeding lies. Even a matter of national security is made into trivia by unnecessarily involving Bollywood in it. This is doing a lot of harm to the nation.”

Suspected Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT) men David Headley (49) and Tahawwur Hussain Rana (48), now in US custody for planning terror attacks in India and Denmark, used satellite phone during their visits to Mumbai and Kochi last year before 26/11, Indian investigators have found.
They are now probing if Headley and Rana brought the phones with them to the two cities or obtained them from local aides.
The answer to this could help India build up its case against the LeT operatives whose role ahead of 26/11 has come in for close examination. The 26/11 attackers had used satellite phones to talk to their handlers in Pakistan. Both Headley and Rana made several visits to India between 2006 and 2009.
Headley also used a cellular phone when he was in Mumbai last year, but call records reveal it was used “to contact Rahul Bhatt and other people insignificant to the plot he was involved in,” an officer said.
A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which went to Kochi from Mumbai this week, found that Rana used a satellite phone during his visit there. It is not clear yet if he also used a cell phone, but inquiries at the five-star hotel in Kochi he stayed in revealed he had not used the hotel’s phone for making calls.
He, however, received many calls on the hotel number from people aspiring to work abroad.
Rana visited Kochi on November 16 and 17 last year with a woman called Samraz, who he claimed was his wife. He had published ads on behalf of his immigration services firm, First World Immigration Services, seeking applications from job-seekers.

NEW DELHI: As investigators try to reconstruct the sequence of events that took place during the stay of American terror plotter David Coleman Headley in India last year, the focus of the probe appears to have shifted to ascertaining and verifying the reported links Headley had with some Bollywood personalities.
Apart from phone and hotel records, sleuths of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), camping in Mumbai since Saturday last, are verifying the contacts Headley is said to have established during his stay in the city.
Sources in the government said the effort was to trace the persons he met last year, days before the 26/11 terror attacks.
The sources said that Rahul Bhatt, son of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, was a witness and three others who had come in contact with Headley were also being asked about their meetings with the U.S. national.
“Some encounters of Headley may have been purely by chance or in a casual manner, while some others could have been planned. We have to collect and verify all such bits of information. It is a painstaking investigation and nothing can be said at this stage with certainty,” the sources said.
Though it is becoming clear that Headley and his Canadian accomplice Tahawwur Rana were part of a larger conspiracy and plot by the Lashkar-e-Taiba to target India, efforts were on to find out if the duo had indeed played a key role in helping plan and launch the 26/11 attacks by 10 Pakistani terrorists.
Ajmal Kasab is the lone surviving terrorist and he is facing trial in the case.
NIA investigators are likely to question Kasab to ascertain if he knew Headley and Rana, who were arrested last month by the FBI in Chicago on allegations of plotting terror attacks in Denmark and India.
After the Headley-Rana episode, India has tightened visa approval norms for Pakistan-born U.S. citizens by making it mandatory for such applications to be cleared by New Delhi.
The Home Ministry is also said to be contemplating a similar condition for American nationals born in China, Afghanistan and Iran.

New Delhi: Investigators probing David Coleman Headley, the Pakistan-born US national arrested by the FBI for allegedly plotting terror attacks in India and Denmark, have now cause to believe a Bollywood link may exist.
Sources tell CNN-IBN that Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi could have been in touch with Headley and that investigators are looking to probe that link.
Sources say investigators have found phone records that link Emraan Hashmi to Headley.
They have added that Mahesh Bhatt’s son, Rahul Bhatt introduced Emraan Hashmi to Headley, after which they (Headley and Hashmi) met up twice, including once on the sets of Hashmi’s latest film, Tum Mile
Sources also say it was Rahul Bhatt who told investigators that Emraan Hashmi and Headley have been in touch.

There is emerging evidence to suggest that alleged Lashkar terrorists David Headley and Tahawwur Rana might have been planning a fresh 26/11-style attack in India, with Jewish synagogues and Chabad Houses as its prime targets.
India is sharing details of the investigations in the case with Israel’s counter-terrorism bureau. Headley and Rana were arrested in Chicago by the FBI in October, and charged with plotting attacks in India and Europe at the behest of the Lashkar-e-Toiba.
Government sources told The Indian Express that an FBI team, which landed in the Capital on Sunday, has brought data to fill crucial gaps in the Headley-Rana investigations.
The information that the team is expected to share with their Indian counterparts is likely to clinch the involvement of Headley and Rana with the alleged planners of 26/11, including Lashkar founder Hafiz Saeed and commanders Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and Zarar Shah. The FBI is also likely to share information on whether the Lashkar’s Sajid Mir and Abdul Rehman were indeed the duo’s handlers. It is now clear that Headley and Rana carried out extensive reconnaissance of places frequented by Israeli tourists in India.
The mandatory C-form of Headley, and further investigations thereon, have revealed that this was the major reason for his two-day visit to Pushkar in March 2009. He stayed at the Oasis Hotel close to the local Jewish centre. Indian investigators have also found that Headley conducted similar reconnaissance on a trip to Pune, but are yet to uncover his local contacts. All these details are being shared with the Israelis, it is learnt.
New Delhi has been tight-lipped on whether the FBI tipped off Tel Aviv on the possibility of an attack on a Jewish establishment in India on the basis of the Headley-Rana intercepts. Security agencies, however, are learnt to have reasons to believe that the two travel advisories issued by the Israeli counter-terrorism bureau in September and October this year were rooted in evidence collected in the US.
On September 15, the Israelis issued an advisory saying there was high-level information to indicate that the group that carried out 26/11 was planning several strikes in India with Israelis and Westerners as targets.
On October 16, a second advisory was issued, saying that the “new danger has become stronger” with the possibility of terror attacks in India on synagogues, Chabad Houses, and popular Israeli tourist hotspots in Goa. The advisory also asked Israeli nationals to stay away from Jammu and Kashmir.

Nasir Tadiyandavede, the main accused in the July 25, 2008 serial blasts in Bangalore that killed one woman and injured a dozen people, used a clutch of SIM cards procured with fake identities to plan and execute the terrorist attack, investigators have found.
Nasir, 33, who is also accused in an alleged Lashkar-e-Toiba plot to send youths from Kerala to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) for terror training, was arrested in Bangladesh last month, and produced before a Bangalore magistrate on Saturday.
Nasir and his brother-in-law Shafaz Shamsuddin were remanded in two weeks’ police custody. Both men had fled to Bangladesh in late November 2008, a month after Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir killed four youths from Kerala trying to cross over to PoK.
Investigations have revealed that Nasir used as many as seven different SIM cards obtained with fake identities over a period of time. Investigators suspect Nasir was part of a fake passport and passport theft racket before venturing into terrorism.
